Because we practice a membership-based model, we’re able to remove insurance barriers, bring you direct access, longer visits, and holistic support.

Membership

We reimagine and redefine reimagine healthcare!

Your health and wellness plan blends lifestyle medicine, nutrition, botanical support, and mind-body practices with evidence-based primary care. We treat root causes, personalize every step, and partner with you for sustainable change.

Holistic & Integrative

Jumuiya is more than a clinic, it’s a safe, culturally-aligned space that seeks to cultivate community. With workshops, and shared learning we aim to reduce isolation, build resilience, and foster meaningful connections. You’re seen, respected, and supported by a community invested in your wellness.

Community-centered

Membership means direct access to your physician, 60-minute (minimum) visits, and clear follow-up, so you’re never rushed or left unclear about your health and wellness plan. Billing is simplified: one transparent monthly fee and upfront lab/imaging costs. We are not beholden to an insurance company. Decisions stay between you and your doctor. A more intimate setting, with a smaller patient panel, giving you access to better availability and truly personalized care.

How does it work

Membership FAqs

Do you accept insurance?

Do you accept insurance?

No. Jumuiya practices a direct-care model so we can center equitable access, protect time for a truly holistic approach, and address your needs without insurance gatekeeping.

How this works with your existing insurance:

  • You can still use insurance for medications (HMO or PPO) and for labs, imaging, and referrals (PPO only).
  • Many members find our member-rate cash prices for labs/imaging are often lower than insurance copays. We’ll help you compare so you can choose what’s best
  • Membership is NOT insurance; we recommend keeping coverage for emergencies, hospitalizations, and specialty care.

Our commitment to equity:
We keep pricing transparent, explore equity-minded options when possible, and design care that honors culture, context, and lived experience. Access is clearer, costs are predictable, and your wellness is truly supported.

I have “good” insurance. Should I still join Jumuiya?

I have “good” insurance. Should I still join Jumuiya?

Often, “good” insurance doesn’t guarantee the care you actually want.Ask yourself:

  • Are you receiving the holistic care you deserve and is it aligned with your values?
  • Are you able to see YOUR doctor at each visit, or whomever’s available?
  • Do you have direct call, chat, and email access to your physician?
  • Can you get an appointment when you need it, and are visits at least 60 minutes?
  • Do you feel seen with time for lifestyle, nutrition, botanical, and mind–body support?
  • Do you get clear prices for labs and imaging or surprise bills you thought were covered?
  • Can you follow up by chat and get timely responses without phone trees and call centers?

Jumuiya delivers what insurance-based primary care rarely can: unrushed, culturally aligned, whole-person care, direct access to your physician, continuity you can count on, and transparent pricing. Keep insurance for emergencies and specialty care. Choose Jumuiya for everyday, value-aligned primary care that puts your wellness first.

But won't all the extra costs be really expensive? My insurance covers my "annual" labs for free!

But won't all the extra costs be really expensive? My insurance covers my "annual" labs for free!

When we remove waste and middlemen, primary care costs far less than you’d expect. Your monthly membership covers direct access and unrushed visits. If you have insurance, prescriptions can still be run through your plan. No insurance? We’ll help you find the best cash price for your medications. While labs and imaging aren’t included, we offer discounted cash rates that are often dramatically lower than typical insurance-negotiated prices, so you can choose the most affordable option.

Why this model saves you money (and stress):

  • Avoid costly ER/urgent care: With easy, direct access and same-day/next-day visits, many issues are handled promptly, often saving $1,500–$3,000 per visit compared to unnecessary ER/urgent care trips.
  • Lower overhead, lower costs: We don’t bill insurance, which reduces administrative costs, and we pass those savings on to you with transparent pricing.
  • Health crises prevention: 60+ minute appointments means we can manage chronic conditions thoughtfully, helping prevent expensive long-term health crises.

At Jumuiya, holistic health is sacred. Our pricing honors that, with clarity and equity.

I’m healthy and don’t see doctors often. Should I still join Jumuiya? Can I just see you once?

I’m healthy and don’t see doctors often. Should I still join Jumuiya? Can I just see you once?

Even when you’re “healthy,” most of us have goals: more energy, better sleep, balanced mood, improved digestion, lower stress. 15-minute visit often can't fully address. Real, lasting change comes from unrushed, personalized care, health coaching, consistent follow-up, and accountability. Your progress won't get lost between visits or different providers.

We do not currently offer one-time, non-member consults because meaningful results require relationship and time. That said, there’s is an initial 3 month commitment, afterward you can cancel at any time if your needs are not met. If you want proactive holistic care that helps you feel well now and stay well long-term, membership is the right fit.

If I join Jumuiya, do I still need insurance?

If I join Jumuiya, do I still need insurance?

We care for members regardless of insurance status, but we strongly recommend keeping coverage for expenses outside the scope of primary care (surgeries, hospitalizations, emergency care, and specialist). Your insurance may also help cover prescription medications if necessary, and depending on your plan, labs and imaging.
